Alternative Press: Hardcore Marketing, Inc. Ad
Music marketing firm Hardcore Marketing, Inc. hired me to produce an ad to be run in Alternative Press magazine. It was a daunting task, but ultimately the client was pleased with the work and the ad was well-received by AP readers - contributing to a 30% spike in CD sales for the advertised bands in the month following publication.
The challenge was in fitting all the copy on the page in a sensible order that wasn't completely overwhelming visually. Ultimately, the albums took center stage for visual impact and also to provide a natural break between the upper and lower copy areas.
