APG: "This Brutal Addiction"
This layout is my most recent work. In fact, the album is slated for release on June 9th and proofs are still currently awaiting approval.
The symbolism in the artwork is a direct offshoot of the album's theme and title track. The track speaks of "the three roses" and how they struggle in the grip of addiction. I deliberately set the palette in melancholy blues and greys to echo the tone of the opening track, and drew the roses by hand to add a bit of humanity and contrast to the design. Scratch overlays complete the damaged effect and are present throughout the interior pages of the layout for continuity.
