Gatlin: "The EP"
This CD layout is one of my favorite pieces, and others seem to agree! It was voted Best in Show for Layout & Design at the 2007 Tri-C Student Art Show, from over 90 juried entries.
The concept was derived from the CD itself: a compilation of various recordings, all on one disc. So, I started from that point to compile the album art from various sources into one cohesive layout. The front cover is a photo of matchbooks in a case, and the back cover is the end of a roll of film after being developed, and the disc itself marries together elements from both.
